Practitioners of Gi Jiu-Jitsu utilize the gi fabric to execute various techniques, including grips, holds, chokes, and sweeps, adding a layer of complexity and strategy to their approach. Gripping the lapels, sleeves, and pants, practitioners aim to manipulate their opponent's movements while seeking advantageous positions on the ground.

Training sessions in Gi Jiu-Jitsu involve drilling techniques, practicing transitions, and sparring with fellow practitioners. The emphasis is not only on mastering techniques but also on developing timing, precision, and a deep understanding of weight distribution and balance.
